Broadway Ballroom's full sized main floor is a beautiful environment
for those who want the best dancing experience.
Broadway Ballroom was passionately built by people
who love to dance, to provide the kind of facility dancers dream
about. The main floor features a sprung Brazilian Cherrywood surface
that has a perfect texture for both Standard and Latin dances --
smooth enough to glide elegantly for Standard and just the right
amount of grip for the fast Latin dances.
Measuring 37 x 65 feet of danceable space (42 x
75 when measured wall-to-wall), the floor features a full-length
mirror on one long wall, and comfortable seating, with tables, around
the other three walls. Floor-to-ceiling windows grace the East side
opposite the mirrors, to create a bright, airy feeling during the
day but never with uncomfortably hot sunlight. Swarovsky crystal
chandeliers hang from the ceiling, for a soft, elegant effect at
night.
The ballroom also boasts an exquisite sound system
and high quality 120-inch video projector with electronically lowered
screen that can be used when necessary, such as seminars or other
special events. 10 speakers placed around the room provide stunning
audio, delivered from a 6,800 watt audio system with 10,000 songs
available.
Seating is located around three sides, with a capacity
to seat 150 people in the ballroom in our digital jukebox.
The Chandeliers
Among the most spectacular aspects of the studio
are the unique custom-made crystal chandeliers. Our main ballroom
features 8 hanging chandeliers made from genuine Swarovsky crystals.
These beautiful light fixtures are truly remarkable, providing a
unique lighting experience you won't find at any other ballroom
on the west coast. Each chandelier has more than 2,000 crystals,
totalling 18,400 crystals in all.
